A detailed account for 10 months medical care including various powders, drops, ointments, mixtures and tinctures; around 25 ‘journeys’ at 5/- each, and a number of ‘bleedings’ at 1/- It is likely that the account was to Ralph Edge of Strelley, Nottinghamshire [1689 - 1766], whose second wife Jane died in September 1754; this account may relate to her final illness. Godfrey Kneller painted Ralph Edge’s portrait, now in Nottingham City Museum and Art Gallery.
