Wooden jigsaw puzzle, 210 x 280 mm. lacking one piece and with the paper peeling from several others. Illustrated with hand coloured wood engravings with a long poem addressed to “My Daughter!” Enclosed within a contemporary, but probably not original wooden box with a sliding top. The poem is the story of a mother’s love for her daughter from newly born until the mother’s death where the daughter mourns by her mother’s grave.
