A popular romance, "Peter Ibbetson" has been rendered into a play, an opera, and a movie. With plentiful black & white illustrations by the author, an introduction by the author's cousin Lady *** ("Madge Plunket") and another introduction by Deems Taylor. Mr. du Maurier was the grandfather of Daphne du Maurier, the popular English novelist and playwright. --- In Toledano spine 8 / rust cloth / gilt titling on black spine & cover blocks / black topstain / grey Kent endpapers / jacket style h, verso lists 322 titles in ML catalog.
