Carl Sandburg has provided an introduction, and with index of first lines. --- In Toledano spine 7 / green balloon cloth / limp boards / gilt cover torchbearer / gilt spine titling with inter-connected "ML" device / dark green topstain / orange Kent endpapers / jacket style d, verso lists titles in ML catalog, but no total number. Likely published c.1933 (though 1921 date appears in the book). ML #97.2. --- With general age-toning to leaves, small patches of sunning to spine ends, otherwise a tightly-bound, sound copy. Brittle dust jacket with original $.95 flap price (which has been inked over), handwritten flap price, chips to extremities (some rather large) and with toning, but remaining mostly intact and in removable mylar protector.
