With illustrations by Mitchell Hooks and a prefatory note by the author. Issued as part of the publisher's First Edition Society series which preceded the Dial Press trade edition. One of an unspecified number in a limited edition. --- Bound in full dark green bonded leather covers with three raised bands on spine. Text presented on quality papers. Spine titling, elaborate decorations to covers and spine, and textblock edges all in bright gilt. Green silk moire endpapers, with matching sewn-in satin ribbon placemarker.
