The author describes various rituals, dances and tribal customs. With numerous plates bearing black & white photos, as well as illustrations. --- In full blue cloth-covered boards with blue titling to cover & spine. Volume lacks the dust jacket. --- This well-used copy once the property of a [college] Department of Anthropology, with two of their rubberstampings. Also with cracks to paper at front and rear gutters, prior owners' signatures to front endpapers, sunned spine and chafing to cloth; frequent penciled underlinings and notations throughout the text and dampstains. A weakened front hinge has been carefully repaired on this item. Though not lacking in damages, the book is intact and fully readable.; Octavo - 8 to 9 in. tall; xxii, 350 pages
