This is the story of Clarissa Dalloway, a lady of high social standing, as she prepares to host a party in London in the aftermath of World War I. With an introduction by the author written especially for the Modern Library. Volume wrapped in violet typographic jacket. --- In Toledano spine 8 / blue cloth / gilt titling on blue spine & cover blocks / faded blue topstain / grey Kent endpapers / jacket style g, verso advertises 271 titles in ML catalog. Likely published c.1941 (though 1928 date appears in book). ML #96.2. --- With mild dulling to cover & spine gilding and slight acidic staining to endpapers; else a clean, unmarked, tightly-bound copy.
