With lithographs by Barnett Freedman inside the body of the volume and reproduced on covers (but not at endpapers). With preface entitled 'How This Book Came to Be' by John T. Winterich. Though often seen as a set with Emily Bront's "Wuthering Heights," this offer only for "Jane Eyre." --- In rust and dark red cloth-covered boards with titling in gilt on spine; gilt stripes on front and back. Sandglass flyer laid in (Avon, no. IIIR: 38). Slipcase covered in black paper. --- An about-Very Good+ copy with bright, tightly-bound binding and interior but with whitish spot of soiling to tail of spine.
