Unpaged; 8vo; stapled, pictorial tan wrappers. Signed by the author on title page. Light wear & soil. Laid in is a folding brochure for her films, Entering Oakland, and Alfonia, along with two Xerox copies of award certificates she received. Claire Burch, born in Brooklyn, 1925; longtime resident of Berkeley and the East Bay, died in 2009 leaving behind a remarkable archive of her prolific life's work in writing, filmmaking, music, painting and more. Lydia Gans wrote a wonderful remembrance of Burch for the Berkeley Daily Planet in 2009, which manages to encapsulate a life, not without serious struggles, that seemingly knew no bounds in creative endeavors.; Signed by Author(s)
