In overall good used condition with minor signs of handling and storage - original cloth boards rubbed to edges with wear at spine head and tail and spine slightly faded. Internally clean. Binding overall tight - hinges slightly strained, no annotations - private bookplate to front pastedown and name to half-title page dated 1905; toning to rough-trimmed page-ends but text bright and clear throughout. A collection of essays that first appeared in the Manchester Guardian throughout 1901. Photograph available."
