The salmon section mentions the record 74.4 lb. fish from the Tana R., and discusses good salmon fishing on the Kola Peninsula, Russia all the way to the Petschora R. My good Russian friend Anatoly Pavlytchenko used to rave about the Atlantic salmon fishing on the Pechora R., but said it was completely ruined from poaching by the early 1990's. Berg, the Russian ichthyologist, reports Atlantics in the Pechora to 38.9 kg. [85.6 lb.] I wish I could have been there. Fine in slightly chipped Very Good DJ in mylar cover.
