Original oversized pictorial paper covered boards restored with new endpapers and black spine. Heavy rubbing to boards with loss at corners. Chipping to edges of half-title, some fingerprints to textblock, some rough edges and a few pages have chipped corners not impacting text or illustrations. Includes all 7 color plates - three by Jessie Willcox Smith and four by Elizabeth S. Green including frontis. One of Green's illustrations has 4" vertical tear running from top far left corner down, repaired with cellophane. Final illustration by Smith has 4x4" piece missing top left corner, one illustration has faint crease. One text page has 3" horizontal tear repaired with cellophane. Still a complete and collectible copy of this desirable title illustrated by two celebrated artists. ; MCF01633; Folio 13" - 23" tall
