Olive green embossed cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine well used but still a solid and good reading copy, most volumes rubbed on points with some loss of varying degrees to corners. Volume I has worn spine ends, hinges weak but still tightly bound, Volume II the same but with some mottling front panel. Volume III worn head of spine, and Volume IV has slit to cloth along spine, repaired with clear cellophane tape. Volume V also has tape repair to spine with heavier loss to spine ends, front marbled endpaper also torn and repaired. All volumes have marbled page edges and endpapers, the usual internal library markings but no external markings. Still a very serviceable and complete set.
