Very nice clean booklet SIGNED on title page by editor. If you collect Laura Ingalls Wilder this is a nice item to deepen the collection. It tells the story of Laura's sister-in-law Eliza and her experiences homesteading in De Smet, Dakota Territory beginning in 1879. The account is told in Eliza's own voice, as the booklet is comprised of the transcript of a speech Eliza gave to the Department of the Interior in Washington D.C. Sadly, the last few pages of the original manuscript went missing, so the story ends a bit abruptly, but additional material was added beneath by the editor about Eliza and the Wilders. 17 pages. Booklet was distributed by the Laura Ingalls Wilder Memorial Society Inc.
