A pretty little pocket atlas consisting of 40 color plates from John Speed's pocket atlas of 1627. It measures 5"x7-1/4" and has 32 pages of text and 40 pages of maps. There is a bit of light soil to back cover, but I am hesitant to touch it because the binding is paper over boards. The text offers an overview of the period and explains each map plate by plate. There are no names or writing and book is tightly bound with no cracking to hinges. Only fault other than the light soil is a small bit of wear to tail of spine. Overall nice.
