Very nice clean, handsome travel brochure for the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. There is no date stated, but the population, according to the text, stood at 55,000 which dates it to around 1917, the year of the great Halifax explosion which occurred when a Belgian relief ship collided with a French munitions ship and immediately killed three per cent of the city's 55,000 people. The booklet has a nice fold-put map at the back, small photos througbhout in black and white and many ads for steamships, gifts, souvenirs etc. In addition to pointing out the highlights for the traveler, the text offers possible itineraries. Measures 5"x7-3/4" and has 30 pristine pages.
