This one's a mystery! I googled, I "binged", I searched everywhere, but none of the clues on this trade card led me to an Erie Hotel in Chicago except for ONE entry which doesn't seem right. The address on the card is 3700 Lake Park Avenue,Chicago, but the only vintage hotel with the Erie name was built in 1891 on State Street and was ultimately demolished. This Erie Hotel was likewise demolished because today the address is a newish residential building with $400,000 apartments. At any rate, I like this card a lot, as it was only two blocks from the Chicago Exposition overlooking Lake Michigan and the manager was H. Konneman who for 30 years prior was organist and choir director at St. Stephen's Lutheran church. Rooms were $1 with a bath on each floor, or $1.50 per person for a suite with a private bath. Card measures 3-1/4"x6-1/2". Plain on back. There is no date on the card, but it does make reference to being close to the Exhibition. If it's referring to the Columbian Exposition, Chicago World's Fair that sets it in 1893, but of course it's a bit speculative.
