Very handsome slightly oversized postcard showing a Dubat fighter. The name Dubat means white turban and was used to identify troops from Italian Somaliland. There is no date, but the Dubats were hired in great numbers by the Italians during the Ethiopian War of the 30'. Card is unused and measures 4"x6". The little black spots you see on the front of the card are not a defect -- they're birds in flight! We have several other cards from the Ethiopian War too.
