Beatiful crisp, clean copy signed on face by Zelma George and dated 1963. George, a noted Clevelander who served on various committees during the Eisenhower administration, came to Ohio to study African American music at the Cleveland Public Library. There she wrote the musical Chariot's AComin! and headlined in The Medium, an opera by Gian-Carlo Menotti, at Karamu Theater. She is considered to be one of the first Black women to assume this typically Caucasian role. One can only surmise that this is her personal copy of the lecture delivered May 18, 1962. the lecture consists of 23 pages.
