This is a very elusive item. I have been selling ephemera for 18 years, live in the area, and have never seen one, much less had a copy. But here it is and in like new condition. Booklet measures 6" x 9" and has 52 pages plus an extensive index and several pages of photographs printed in sepia at both back and front. It opened in 1834 -- that's really early! -- and then became connected with the Carnegie libraries and existed in a Carnegie building from 1904 to 1941. Today the main branch on Main Street is sleek and modern.
