Twelve crisp clean post cards which have never been used or written upon. Corners are sharp and colors are bright. Only fault is some tonign to backs. Each card shows a different soldier of 1776 in a different uniform. Cards are linen with a divided back and an explanation of the scene depicted. The main clue of age is the stamp box which required a one cent stamp. Except for a couple temporary war related increases to two cents, the one cent stamp lasted until 1952. card are very attractive and were sold at the Fort Ticonderoga Museum in New York state.
