This is a mystery item. There's no date and no clue to even take a chance at guessing one. There was once a gilt title on the front -- you can see it faintly when you lay it flat in the light, but it's just about vanished. Otherwise the text is very clean and tightly bound and the prose is quite readable. It appears to be a Christian message, but very New Testament. The focus is on love, not on brimstone. It lso seems to be ab out raising boys. I tried to research it, but only found two other copies and zero information on the author. The booklet measures 5-1/4" x 7-3/4" and has 88 pages. Sample chapters are titled The Marks of Love, The Children Are Tender -- Lead on Gently, and Divine Teachers.
