Very nice clean art catalog, oversized at 9" x 12-1/2" with 39 pages. Illustrated throughout with black and white photographs showing examples of French printed textiles from 1759 to 1821. The catalog was published to accompany an exhibit held in Cincinnati from July 19 to August 26, 1990. The fabrics are called toiles de Jouy and many were loaned by the Baltimore Museum of Art. There is also much information about the historical background that influenced the fabrics.
