A Sailor's Sketch of the Sacramento Valley in 1842 (1971)

Beautifully printed and designed booklet, pristine inside and out including a large color map (Bidwell Map Sacramento Valley 1844) bound in at back (see photo). The Friends of the Bancroft Library are noted for elegance, simplicity, and quality in their publications and this one is a perfect example. The booklet measures 7-1/4" x 10-1/4" and has 37 pages. The only fault is a small indentation under the title at front cover. It is #19 of a series of keepsakes printed for their members. It would make a very nice gift.
