The Great Lakes Exposition was a huge event and a huge success, as it brought fun and hope to people still struggling with the realities of the Great Depression. In fact, it was SO exciting they held it again in 1937. One of the quirkiest facts about the exposition was the disappearance of the giant book fair-goers were asked to sign. To this day no one knows what happened to it. The guide book is very clean and nice, and tightly bound with its wire spiral binding. I had one of these last year, but just now got another. It measures 6" x 9" and has 56 pages with many black and white photographs, plus a look at the many wonders.
