This is a nice clean booklet of 76 pages measuring 6" x 8-3/4" and fully illustrated with charming drawings and black and white photographs. Only defect is a small bit of foxing to lower corner next to spine at front cover. Otherwise beautiful, tightly bound, and with no names or writing. Tells the history of the little known Shaker settlement of Watervliet, Ohio and Bertha Furey, its last living resident. The community was closed with an auction in 1904. When she grew up Bertha married and converted to Catholicism. She died shortly before this booklet was published. (OH-2)
