I love gift books of all kinds -- little trifles that seem like nothing and were often lost or tossed, but have value still for the right person. This one is designed with a mottled paper over boards and a tall narrow format. It measures 4" x 7" and is beautifully illustrated throughout with decorative pages. Each page is a fold -- a very elegant presentation. There is also a gift inscription at the front that reads, "To my dearest and best friend Torie from Emily Billy.Christmas, 1914. Warsaw, New York." I bought a gift book for a friend this Christmas and inscribed it to her beneath the original inscription. The two were 100 years apart.
