There are also historical photos in black and white to augment the story of the Amanas and the seven villages they created in Iowa. The story begins with German immigrants who moved from New York to Iowa where they purchased 5000 acres of land from the Seneca Indians. The booklet also shows how the group lived simply and spiritually creating art, wines, bakeries, meats, restaurants, woolen mill, inns and more. There's also a section on the beginning of the Amana Refrigerator Company and the many other endeavors reached by 1969. Booklet measures 8-1/2" x 11" and is clean and tightly bound. 48 counted pages.
