Very nice, clean postcard which has a glossy finish and a white margin. The back is not divided and there is no writing or stamping. The stamp box shows the logo of the EKC Company. The logo is one clue to the date, as are the cars and the history of the Cliff House. It opened originally in 1858 and then again in 1863, 1877, 1883, 1896 and 1937. Clearly this photo was taken after the 1937 renovation. The hotel perches over Ocean Beach, a site that claimed some 30 ships.Card will arrive in a brand new plastic sleeve.
