This is a very nicely kept program. Had it not been folded in half vertically, as theater-goers tend to do, it would be perfect. I ironed it and put it in the book press and it's now completely flat. The program shows the seating diagram, and of course the cast of the narrative ballet, Romeo and Juliet, which was staged in one act. I checked out the list of performers and found Maria Tallchief in a lesser role. But a little research showed that at the time Tallchief, the first Native American ballerina, was dancing for the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo. This was very early in her career, but in just two years (1947) she would become the first prima ballerina of the New York City Ballet. The peogram measures 6-1/2" x 9" with 24 pages. Great ads too.
