The cover has two stamps, one from each previous owner -- the Thompson Mahogany Company and Winterich's Library (a private library of a business). Each entry provides data about additional names of a species, its distribution, the tree itself, its timber, its strength, its durability, seasoning it, workign qualities, uses, and supplies. Would be of interest to woodworkers and artists, as well as those who appreciate natural history.
