At the time this manufacturer's certificate and warranty was extended in 1895 bicycles were all the rage. The warranty was good for a year from the date stated, October 14, 1895. Here's what is promises: " This is to certify that the Oxford Bicycle No. 1113 is warranted to be free from defective materials or workmanship, and we will make good any defects found, free of charge, when such part or parts are returned to us (all charges prepaid) for examination. The guarantee does not apply to damage resulting from accident, rough usage, or neglect." It also mentions that the Morgan and Wright's Pneumatic Tires which were used on the bikes were guaranteed by Morgan and Wright. The certificate/warranty measures 7-3/4" x 9" and is very readable with no tears. There are a few spots of foxing, but very minor. It had also been folded, but I ironed it and flattened it in the book press.
