The Flying Cadets are not heard of much today, but in WWII they provided a considerable amount of personnel. Some were even on the ground working as flight engineers, armament officers, meteorologists, and photography officers. After the war, however, the ground jobs were no longer needed. The Flying Cadets, however, came back in good numbers to serve in the Korean War as pilots, navigators and bombardiers. This five page document was submitted by a Clevelander along with three positive referrals from two Cleveland companies -- two different ones from Cleveland Diesel Engine Division of General Motors and one from General Carloading Company Inc. The four small documents are receipts for paying his premium for VA service life insurance. Three of these are dated 1945 and one is dated 1946. All are clean and nice.
