Museum of Appalachia's Annual Tennessee Fall Homecoming 1986

ITEM # 3380 This is a very handsome booklet published to commemorate the museum's 7th annual Tennessee Fall Homecoming in Norris, Tennessee. It's VERY nice with quality coated paper, lots of black and white photographs, and a full color glossy cover. It's also over-sized at 8-1/2" x 11" and has 88 pristine pages. The only fault is a small abrasion on two pages which were stuck together at one time. I almost didn't even see it. On on of the those pages (see photo) where there is a names written on the outer margin. I thought it would be a signature from one of the three guys in the picture -- Alex Haley, Tennessee Governor Lamar Alexander, and John Rice Irwin, the author. Not only was I wrong, but I can't even decipher it. Anyway, there's a lot to read and a lot look at here. It's all about music, old time mountain and rural activities, Appalachian arts and crafts, writing, art, and food. [ ENTERTAINMENT . BX 2 ]
