At first glance I thought this was some sort of funeral commemoration, but it's not. It's a calendar for 1914 with all twelve pages intact in the calendar itself at the bottom edge. You'd think a more colorful and cheerful design would see its way through Valentine's Day, Easter, the Fourth of July, and Christmas, among other holidays, but not. The old man is warning the little girl to be careful of the waves, which is good, but the surroundings are gloomy. These old calendars are hard to find though. This one measures 10-1/4" x 14". As you can see, the edges have darkened and there is a loss of the outer layer of paper on the right hand side edge. The the black backing, however, in clean and without tears or chips.
