This is the second little book by Dylan Thomas I bought this year. One was published in the U.S. and this one in England. The book is charming in a simple way and is beautifully illustrated with the woodcuts made by Ellen Raskin. I also see now that the American publication came along first in 1954. In 1968 it was published in England. It measures 4-3/4" x 6" and has 26 pages of text. There is a small bit of soil at the top front corner of the cover. I tried to use the document pad to clean it but it didn't budge. Overall it's good though . This is one of my favorite lines, "All the Christmases roll down toward the two-tongued sea, like a cold and headlong moon bundling down the sky that was our street."
