From the artist's website: "Born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1946, Paul Palnik received a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Arts degree in drawing, painting and graphics from The Ohio State University. He has worked as an artist and writer for American Greetings, The Jerusalem Post, The Columbus Dispatch, and Muse Magazine (Smithsonian Science Magazine for teens). Palnik taught printmaking at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He also taught drawing, design and graphics at Anderson University in Indiana. Palnik was artist in residence at Camp Ramah in Conover, Wisconsin for fifteen years. There he created over twenty large murals that are currently hanging on numerous buildings throughout the campus. Palnik Studios opened in 1968, and to this day is currently marketing and publishing Paul's cartoon art. Hundreds of original Palnik cartoons are in the permanent collection of The Ohio State University, Billy Ireland Cartoon Art Library. Paul Palnik exhibits his fine art of the cartoon in art shows throughout the United States. His work is represented in thousands of collections in the U.S. and abroad. The artist is always adding new works to his ever increasing collection. Paul lives quietly with his family in Columbus, Ohio. "
