This recording is documentation of the July 2009, celebration of the 350th anniversary of Purcell's birth, for which The Fairy-Queen was performed by Glyndebourne Festival Opera using a new edition of the score, prepared for the Purcell Society by Bruce Wood and Andrew Pinnock. Two discs: Running time approximately 230 minutes.
