Binding designed by Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue with his monogram to front cover, second edition. Hardcover, full brown ribbed cloth with gilt rules, lettering and decoration to front board and spine, 7" tall, 115 pp. Modest bump to head of spine. Bertram Goodhue was primarily an architect, but he is probably best remembered in the book world for designing the Cheltenham typeface. Although he was involved in the Arts & Crafts movement, it is his architectural style which is most influential in this book design featuring an array of bugles within ruled borders with maple-leaf corners.
