Hardcover, Stated First Edition 1951 Shasta Publishers 224 pages. Very Good+, in a VG+ DJ. Just a touch of shelf/edge wear to brown cloth boards with black titles - corners sharp. A few tiny spots to red topstain and two very small written dates on the FFEP keep this classic from Near Fine. Just a touch of shelf/edge wear to unclipped original DJ - now in mylar. Slight age-toning to DJ interior flap edges and some dust soiling to rear panel. Very light off-setting to endpapers. The author's second SF book and first collection of SF short stories. Includes "Daymare," his classic SF detective story and Knock ( a science fiction short story that starts with a description of "a sweet little horror story that is only two sentences long." It then goes on to elaborate on those two sentences and build a more complete story around them. Believe me, no one compares to Fredric Brown. Dust Wrapper design by Malcolm Smith (illustrator). Anatomy of Wonder by Neil Barron (2004) 4-108. A superb copy. LOC FB-04
