Vintage Hardcover, Stated Third Edition Lee and Shepard Boston 313 pages plus 11 pages of other books by Henry Wood and many reviews of them. Very Good, no DJ. Minor shelf/edge wear to brown cloth boards with gilt titles - corners bumped. Floral endpapers are toned. No previous owner markings - all pages are clean and unmarked. 22 chapters. Henry Wood was one of the very first New Thought authors. His books were widely read both in New Thought circles and far beyond them. Horatio Dresser, another very influential figure in the early development of the movement, writes of him as the first to seek to spread the new ideas through publicity. The New Thought movement (also Higher Thought) is a spiritual movement that coalesced in the United States in the early 19th century. Very handsome copy. LOC SSS-04
