Vintage Hardcover with DJ, Ex-Lending Library First Edition 1956 William Morrow & Company 256 pages. Good, in a Good DJ. Minor shelf/edge wear to black cloth spine with light blue titles over green paper boards - corners sharp. Boards have tape residue and shadow from DJ being taped to the boards. This copy was likely a lending library copy at one time. It has evidence of a pocket being removed (on the rear endpaper) rather neatly but there are no library stamps anywhere. Moderate shelf/edge wear, rubbing, a few closed tears and one chip (to top of spine) of unclipped DJ - now in mylar. No previous owner names or markings - all pages are clean and unmarked. Author's third book, which was the basis for the 1958 B & W World War II film featuring Frank Sinatra, Tony Curtis and Natalie Wood. A respectable First Edition in DJ. Scarce.LOC SSS-24
