Brown cloth and endpapers, numerous illustrations , two page errata at rear followed by publishers catalogue of technical titles. ; 6-1/4" x 9-1/4"; xv, 574, ii, 32 pp; Ex-library with the usual markings. Boards edgeworn, binding repaired with cloth tape retaining portion of original spine (hinges now solid), the occasional passage highlighted with pencil in the margin, two pages in catalogue at rear with notes in pencil. Interesting bookplate reading Jamais Arriere and History, Science, Literature, Theology (partly obscured by library pocket). This is the motto of Clan Douglas (Never Behind).
