The verses here published were written in France during the tragic months of August and September, 1914, and were then laid aside for more than a year, in the hope that the author might be able to improve them if he approached them somewhat as a stranger. They were several times revised at still later periods, a number of lines were omitted and a few added. Blue cloth, gilt lettering on front. This copy with a presentation inscription in French on the FFEP penned and signed by the author. ; 4-3/4" x 6-1/2"; 25 pp; Signed by Author; Very nicely preserved with only slight wear at corners of boards.
