Offered here are the first four volumes of a series intended to be 10 volumes in all. Volumes I and II together comprise The Man and His Work and were published in 1925. Volume III offers A Tale of a Tub, The Case is Altered, Every Man in His Humour and Every Man Out of His Humour; it was published 1927. Volume IV offers Cynthia's Revels, Poetaster, Sejanus and Eastward Ho; published 1932. Publishers green cloth, gilt decoration front, gilt spine lettering, sewn, each volume with guraded frontispiece and additional plates, facsimile title pages. Note that these books are heavy. They have been priced to include USPS Media Mail shipping within the continental U.S. for the normal shipping charge. Shipping to other locations or by other methods will cost more. ; 6" x 9"; Conditions range good + to VG. All volumes rubbed, wear at corners, prior owner name dated 1932 on ffep with solid hinges, pages generally clean and unmarked (though with a few very brief pencil notations). Volume I with 2" split at top of spine and with the spine rubbed a bit more than the others. Volume IV with a 1/2" tear at bottom of spine, severe creasing to pps 471-2.
