Librairie Plon. Original green cloth, front cover with color illustration and red/black lettering, gilt emblem to rear cover "labor omnia vincit improbus", page edges are red, endpapers are blue, each page with text (in French) and a color illustration of a scene from late 19th century Paris life. Undated, late 1880s.; Oblong , 10-3/4" x 9" (27,3 x 23 cm); 48 pp; Boards soiled, worn at top/bottom of spine and at lower right corner. Both hinges are loose, cracked at title page held together only by cords, visibly cracked at rear endpapers as well. Pages show a faint wave along top edge (no staining) and have generally light (though with occasional larger spots of) foxing. No inscriptions or writing apart from old sellers pencil notations inside rear cover.
