Albert ball was Britain's first universally recognised air hero. He joined the Royal Flying Corp in 1915. Despite being only a junior officer he was first man in the British army to be decorated with the DSO and two bars. By the time of his death in mysterious circumstances he had bee credited with at least 44 combat victories in a period of only 15 months active service. The dust jacket shows light wear to the corners. A good , tight copy.
