FANTASY COMMENTATOR was primarily devoted to articles dealing with various aspects of Fantasy and Science Fiction, rather than fans submitting their fictions, or fan squabbles. Sam Moskowitz, for instance, serialized the first draft of his Fanzine History, THE IMMORTAL STORM in the pages of FC. This issue contains a little known reminiscence of H.P. Lovecraft, THE MAN WHO CAME AT MIDNIGHT by Ruth M. Eddy, daughter of Clifford & Muriel Eddy, friends of HPL . If you're a pulp collector, Fantasy in the Munsey magazines is the continued bibliography by William H. Evans. Clearly printed, well laid out and presented, they took their time with this publication. These early issues deserve to be reprinted. Sam Moskowitz continued FANTASY COMMENTATOR well into the 1980's. A very good copy.
