By the late 1960's Arkham House booklets were too expensive to print and post, so Derleth came up with the idea of THE ARKHAM COLLECTOR, not only informing Arkham House customers about the status of upcoming and out of print AH titles, but also being an informative "news" journal regarding AH authors, artists, and items of interest outside of the Arkham House family. Original stories and poems by Arkham House authors and AH enthusiasts were also scattered throughout. There is a wealth of information in these seemingly nondescript little publications, if you take the time to read them carefully.
