12 Volumes Complete. Two volumes are dated 1880, six are dated 1881 and the rest have no date. All volumes in publisher's brown cloth with gilt medallion portrait of Scott on the front covers, embossed gilt leaves on cover and spines, gilt lettering on spine, elaborate floral decoration in black on covers and spine, uncut pages. Each volume has a b&w frontispiece and several illustrations by different artists. . The bindings are rubbed on the surfaces and extremities, with a few that have slight fraying at the heel of the spine, some of the bottom tips are bumped, one volume (Ivanhoe) has a name on the front paste-down and the front hinge is cracked, other hinges intact and other books are free of names and appear to be unread. A nice looking reading set. . 12mo 7" - 7" tall
